Security Rules to be Followed in the Port

  1. Personal protective equipment (helmet, visibility vest, work shoes etc.) must be worn in the port (in operation area, ships, docks, construction areas, warehouses, during renovations of buildings etc.).
  2. Individuals will not stand near the operation areas, on the ship and near the moving working equipment.
  3. They will not enter this area until the crane operation is completed (without completing the crane movement).
  4. Truck drivers who bring and take project cargoes, working machines etc. and other loads will not drive without conducting the lashing operation.
  5. They will not stand more than 8 meters near the trucks, construction equipment, forklifts, loader terminal tractors, etc. 4 meter stackers.
  6. Walking and parking are forbidden on the RO-RO ramps and on the route leading to the GDA (temporary storage area), which is the area to be used for parking for loading and unloading purposes.
  7. It is forbidden to sit, walk or fish on the quaysides. It is dangerous to walk around and sit at the points where the ship ropes are fastened to the bollards on the quay.There is a danger of the breaking off of the ropes.
  8. Unauthorized camera recording and taking photos are forbidden. No images will be posted about ports, operations and cargoes carried on social networks. Recording is possible by obtaining permission from the relevant departments.
  9. Pass through the designated level crossings in a controlled way and check whether the train is coming from both directions.
  10. Never use non-designated crossings.
  11. Unauthorized personnel may not be present around vehicle stocking areas. Just be present in your own working areas and offices.External sites/offices may not be safe and convenient.
  12. An electronic speeding control system is implemented in the port. The speed limits shown on the warning signs will be followed. The limit for main roads is 30 km, side roads 20 km and piers 10 km.
  13.  It is dangerous and inappropriate to enter the operation areas with civilian vehicles. Vehicles should not be parked in no-parking areas. Civilian vehicles should be parked in designated car parks outside and inside the port.
  14. The beacon will be used while the vehicles are on the move.
  15. Speaking on the phone is forbidden while driving and executing an actual operation.
  16. Pedestrians must use pedestrian paths and crosswalks.
  17. Health and safety sign boards will definitely be read, and the signs removed due to construction works will be dismantled by sending a notification to the OHS department and will be re-installed at the appropriate locations after the work.
  18. Smoking will not be allowed in open areas other than the designated smoking areas. Smoking is forbidden in enclosed areas pursuant to the Law Number 4207.
  19. Personnel under the age of 0-18 are prohibited from entering the working areas.
  20. It is strictly forbidden to sleep in the port for any reason whatsoever.
  21. Garbage will not be thrown on the floor, and wastes will be disposed of in suitable waste containers in the field. Garbage will be thrown into garbage containers, and other wastes will be thrown into recycling containers.

The above-mentioned rules are important, and we would like to remind you that unsafe behavior should be avoided.
