Container Terminal

Safiport Derince is a modern terminal that continues its investments in line with its goal of becoming the leading port in the region with an annual handling capacity of 1,500,000 TEU, 2.272 km of berthing space, and a water depth of 18 meters.

Work is underway to extend the existing 700-meter main container quay to 1,200 meters, with the goal of reaching a total quay length of 2.5 km upon completion of the investments.

With the addition of 4 new STS quay cranes to the fleet, the total number of STS cranes has reached 8. Our terminal, which currently has a capacity to handle 23 rows of vessels with its existing 4 STS cranes, has reached an operational capacity of handling 24 rows of vessels with the new STS investments. In addition, 24 RTGs, 48 ​​terminal tractors, and 4 mobile port cranes with a capacity of 125 tons each provide 24/7 service for container and general cargo operations.
